This is a well-known saying across the Intertubes. But there ARE other sorts of validatory* data.
Cos from the six-hour (see the accompanying data) down at Canungra the other Sunday, this one seems to be the only photo of me. Not my best side.
But still, it was a good day. My Wednesday morning mates Neil and Dean0 were smashing it. Steve and me not as much.
Emma’s family connections were enjoying the tracks as well, while Emma (nursing a sore knee) didn’t quite have the relaxing time she hoped for … being pit crew was likened to motherhood, although I would say only the cool mums tweak their kids’ derailleurs (and get them working much better than before).
But by the time I had worked my way into the day, it was nearly over. So I did the last three laps in a rush and fell in a heap.
So that was the last Sunday of July.
The first Sunday of August I headed up (my spatial references have a north-south axis) to Garapine, near Gympie. For my first attempt at a Gravity Enduro.
Evidentiary* data. Which shows that I got on the PODIUM in the lowest grade. That’s bronze, baby.
This has never happened before as far as I remember in the history of me riding a bike. Well, very rarely. So it was fun. But so far I have no pix, so maybe it didn’t happen. We can only wait a bit longer to find out.
* possibly not a real word

Sorry about that Chief! You were past me so fast each lap that it was the only angle avaiable to me.
@ademack Congratulations for your podium finish in the Gravity Enduro. Well done you! Waiting for pix…
